Artificial intelligence is exciting. Its unstoppable. Its transformative – is your business prepared?
AI depends on data and never has strong data governance been more important. Not just to ensure compliance with evolving laws but also to maintain the high-quality data that AI demands. Now is the moment for experts in the field to make a significant impact and for businesses to act.
My extensive experience and distinctive achievements in data and AI governance are more relevant and valuable than ever, offering so much opportunity to safeguard company reputation and enhance brand value!
For over 18 years I have led the global records management programme in a major multinational corporation achieving remarkable outcomes, including:
Spearheading the development, implementation, and embedding of a compliant records management and non-record mindset across a global organisation operating in 80 countries, which is externally recognised as industry best practice.
Successfully deploying automated information retention and deletion policies across the entire Sharepoint, Outlook and Teams landscape for a global multinational using Microsoft Purview. This high profile, multi-million-dollar initiative included the simultaneous activation of 3-year deletion policy across 120,000 email and One-Drive accounts significantly reducing privacy, litigation and cybersecurity risks as well as storage costs.
Leading a transformational change programme that effectively altered the working practices of 120,000 global users, overcoming significant resistance to data deletion (no one likes to delete- do they?). I successfully oversaw the deletion billions of legacy documents and emails in a legally defensible manner.
As a lawyer, I advise on the complex and evolving regulatory environment including the laws and local frameworks developed for AI governance such as the newly published EU AI Act (“GDPR on steroids!”).
In addition to my professional work, I am passionate about promoting good mental health and well-being. I initiated and led the award-winning “Care in Legal” programme for a global, multicultural workforce of 1,200 legal staff, in response to high levels of staff sickness. I am widely recognised as a thought leader, particularly on the topic of burnout.
I bring a human, practical and energetic attitude to everything I do. In recent feedback, I was described as “empathetic”, “honest and genuine” and “ready to hear the views of others”. I am proud of this.
AI is here. How prepared is your business for the biggest transformation shaping our world?
