Robotic Process Automation Meets Cognitive Capture
4.05pm - 5.00pm

RPA (Robotic Process Automation) is a technology designed to reduce key entry from electronic documents in repetitive back office environments.  We have estimated that companies worldwide are spending multiple billion pounds on key entry — in the US alone in manufacturing we have estimated US$1bn a year is spent.  In Finance likely more — according to our research, an average document costs around 40 pence to key in the UK.  This can be substantially reduced.  Traditional Capture Software / Forms Processing solutions were also developed to reduce or eliminate key entry from paper documents.  In today’s transactionally oriented omni-channel environment  both solutions are required Capture and RPA are synergistic. RPA automates keystrokes and tasks. Cognitive capture extracts data and interprets it to facilitate automating business processes. Users are starting to merge the technologies this presentation will focus on examples of where this has been successfully implemented
